(PEMBROKE, ON) – An officer from the Upper Ottawa Valley Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop in Laurentian Hills on July 18, 2015 after information was received that there was an Alberta man in the area who was wanted on outstanding warrants from Alberta. The driver of the vehicle, Daniel LOWREY age 33 of Airdrie, Alberta, was found to be wanted on several Criminal Code warrants stemming from offences in Alberta. LOWREY was also bound by a recognizance to remain within the province of Alberta and to refrain from the possession any mobile devices or computers. As a result of the investigation LOWERY faces the following Criminal Code charges in Ontario:
· Fail to Comply with Recognizance – 3 counts
· Possession of Property Obtained by Crime – 1 count
LOWREY also faces the following outstanding criminal charges in Alberta:
· Breach of Probation – 4 counts
· Possession of Property Obtained by Crime – 2 counts
· Fail to Attend Court – 2 counts
· Luring Minors over the Internet – 1 count
LOWREY was held for a bail hearing.
