(CHIPPEWAS OF THE THAMES FIRST NATION, ON) – On May 1, 2018, at approximately 2:00 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a possible impaired driver on Melbourne Road, Chippewas of the Thames First Nation.
Officers located the suspect vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. The officer determined that the 46-year-old, male, driver of the vehicle had consumed alcohol. The driver was arrested and transported to a police station for further testing.
As a result of the police investigation, Daniel ANTONE, of Oneida of The Thames First Nation, Ontario has been charged with Driving While Ability Impaired and Driving with More than 80 mgs. of Alcohol in Blood, pursuant to the Criminal Code of Canada (CC).
The accused is scheduled to appear in a London court room on May 28, 2018 to answer to the charges.
