Damien WINDOVER – Impaired Driving Cause Bodily Harm

(Town of Perth, ON) – Officers from the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a Perth man after a single motor vehicle collision in the Town of Perth in the early morning of Wednesday 5th November 2014.

At about 3.53 am, patrolling officers discovered the driver in a heavily damaged Acura Integra on Drummond St West. The vehicle had clearly been in collision with the heritage, metal railins of Nevis Estate and two panels had been completely torn away.

Investigation revealed that at the time of the collision there had been two passengers in the vehicle one of whom had been injured.

Damien WINDOVER (22 years old) is charged with:

One Count. Impaired Driving Cause Bodily Harm.

One Count. Operating A Motor Vehicle With Over 80 mgs of Alcohol / 100 milliliteres of Blood.

Both counts are contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

WINDOVER was also charged with two offences contrary to the Ontario Highway Traffic Act.

One Count. Drive While Under Suspension.

One Count. Use Validation Not Furnished By The Ministry Of Transportation.

WINDOVER was released to appear, at a later date, at the Provincial Court in Perth.
