(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) – As a result of the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigation into the August 28, 2015 collision at the intersection of Perth Line 33 and Road 111, involving an SUV and a bicyclist, the following charge was laid.
67-year-old Bruce THORNTON of Wilmot Twp. has been charged with “careless driving”, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario. He will be attending Provincial Offences Court in Stratford on September 22, 2015 to answer to this charge.
The injured cyclist, a 28-year-old female resident of Kitchener is continuing to recover from her major injuries.
