(BANCROFT, ON) – On September 7th, 2016, at approximately 7:45pm, officers from the Bancroft Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to investigate a motor vehicle collision on Highway 28 in Faraday Township.
Upon their arrival, officers observed that a pickup truck had struck a cyclist. The cyclist was transported to hospital with life threatening injuries. The driver of the pickup truck was not injured.
As a result of their investigation, officers have charged Shandel BURKE, 24 years of Highlands East with Careless Driving Contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
