Cyclist Struck On Weber Street Airlifted To Hospital

On Wednesday June 3rd 2015 at 2:45 p.m. a 21 year old Kitchener man was riding his bicycle westbound on Weber Street East in the city of Kitchener. The cyclist attempted to turn left onto Frederick Street, and was struck by a white van driven by a 28 year old Mississauga man. The van was travelling eastbound in the center lane of Weber Street with a green light. The cyclist sustained major injuries and was airlifted to Hamilton General Hospital. The investigation by the Waterloo Regional Police Service Traffic Branch is continuing, Charges against the driver of the van are not anticipated at this time.
