Cyclist Killed On Conestogo Road

On Thursday, February 2, 2017, at 6:50 a.m., Waterloo Regional Police responded to a collision between a motor vehicle and a cyclist on King Street North in Waterloo. The male cyclist, a Kitchener resident, was transported to a local area hospital with life-threatening injuries. The cyclist succumbed to his injuries as a result of the collision and was later pronounced dead at the hospital. The driver of the motor vehicle, a Waterloo resident, remained on scene. The investigation is continuing and charges are pending.
