(CALEDON, ON) – On Sunday, August 4, 2013 at approximately 3:30 a.m. officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to investigate a motor vehicle collision in the area of Torbram Road and Olde Baseline Road.
On arrival, the officers observed a gray Volkswagen Jetta on the south side of Olde Baseline Road facing east, east of Torbram Road with wire fencing attached to the bumper of the vehicle. The officers observed a male party exit the driver’s door and begin to run southbound. The officers engaged in a brief foot pursuit with the male driver who upon request from the officers, then complied with police commands. The officers observed that the driver was impaired by alcohol.
As a result of the investigation, Curtis GORDON, 19, of Milton was arrested and charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Over 80.
The Administrative Drivers’ Licence Suspension (ADLS) program was initiated and his motor vehicle was impounded for seven days.
The accused will make his first appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on August 14, 2013.
