(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Norfolk County Detachment investigated and incident at a Queen Street North, Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Saturday, June 24, 2017 at approximately 3:45 a.m., police were contacted by a concerned resident after they located a child crying outside their residence.
Through the course of investigation, it was determined that child left the residence looking for their mother. Police attended the address and located the child’s mother inside sleeping.
Police are reminding all parents and caregivers to have child safety locking devices on all windows and doors to prevent them for exiting the residence. The OPP would also like to also thank the alert citizen that located the child and immediately contacted the police.” – Constable Ed Sanchuk
