Criminal Evades Police In Stolen Truck On Molesworth Line

(HOWICK & HURON EAST, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are on the lookout for a crew cab Dodge Ram pickup truck that was stolen from a Glenannon Road residence this past weekend. The owner reported his pickup truck was stolen from his laneway sometime overnight between 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 18th and 5:30 a.m. on Monday, October 19, 2015.

The owner had left the vehicle unlocked with the keys inside the cup holder. In addition, the owner had left his wallet containing identification, a quantity of cash, cheques, a GPS system, satellite radio system and sporting equipment inside the truck.

At approximately 1:30 p.m. on October 19th a Huron OPP officer spotted the stolen truck stopped on Molesworth Line. As the officer approached the stolen truck the driver took off from the police officer. The suspect driver proceeded across a lawn, through a field and back onto Molesworth Line. The officer lost sight of the stolen truck north of Ethel.

The stolen pickup truck is described as a black, 2004 Dodge Ram crew cab. The truck is valued at approximately $8,000.
