Crime Stoppers Crime of the Week

(RENFREW, ON) – Crime Stoppers and the Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) need your help to solve a break, enter, and theft of silver coins.

On May 9th, 2014, between the hours of 12:00 pm and 3:15 pm a thief entered a garage on Highway 132 in the Township of Admaston Bromley. They gained access to a safe and stole a large amount of silver coins estimated in excess value of $50,000.00.
There were two metallic box-type suitcases; one contained only Olympic coins with 12 trays of 24 coins.
The other metallic case contained coins with various animals and insects.
All were Canadian currency.

There were also two monster boxes, one yellow and one blue that were taken that contained silver coins with various animals printed on them. The other monster box contained silver bars.
