(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) On Saturday October 23, 2010 around 1 a.m. Perth County OPP officers were called to a single motor vehicle crash on the Perth Oxford Road West of the East Zorra Tavistock Line.
Investigation revealed that the crashed vehicle had just passed another west bound vehicle prior to leaving the roadway. The driver lost control of the SUV on the gravel road surface causing the vehicle to roll into the north ditch where it landed on its roof. The 3 rear seat passengers were able to crawl out of the vehicle but the driver and front passenger were trapped.
The Township of Perth East Fire Department attended and extricated the trapped driver and passenger. Both parties were transported to Stratford General Hospital by Perth County Ambulance with non life threatening injuries. The driver a seventeen year old female from Stratford has been charged with careless driving.
