(Kemptville, ON.) – Grenville County Ontario Provincial Police have charged a local couple with numerous drug related charges.
On January 24th, 2014, members of Grenville County OPP, the East Region Drug Enforcement Team, the OPP Emergency Response Team and the OPP Canine Unit attended 1-402 Oxford Street, Kemptville to execute a drug warrant.
A search of the residence resulted in the seizure of 1,366grams (3lbs) of marihuana,14 grams of cocaine, 88 grams of cannabis marihuana shake, 32 grams of cannabis resin (brown hash) and Canadian currency. The two occupants were arrested at the scene and transported to Kemptville OPP detachment.
Derek CROWELL, age 28 of Kemptville is charged with possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine, possession of a Schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking- cannabis marihuana -under 3 kg, possession of a Schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking – cannabis resin over 3 kg, possession of property obtained by crime – Canadian currency under $5,000 and failure to comply with conditions of an undertaking given by an Officer in charge.
Megan VOGELGESANG, age 21 of Kemptville is charged with possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine, possession of a Schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking- cannabis marihuana -under 3 kg, possession of a Schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking – cannabis resin over 3 kg, possession property obtained by crime – Canadian currency under $5,000.
Derek CROWELL was held in custody for a bail hearing, in the Ontario Court of Justice, Brockville and was released.
