(GORDON TOWNSHIP) – On Tuesday December 9, 2014 the Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call from a resident of Highway 540 in Gordon Township who reported that he some copper wire and a meteoroidal tower stored on his property. Upon checking his property the items have been removed. The value of the copper wire was approximately $1000 to $1200. The tower was in sections and is valued at $10,000.
Investigation revealed that culprits would have required a truck and trailer to remove the stolen items. Police are continuing their investigation and are seeking the public’s assistance if anyone with information may call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122, or if you wish to remain anonymous call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
