(CENTRE WELLINGTON TOWNSHIP, ON) -On August 21, 2014 at approximately 9:26 a.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was patrolling Wellington Road 29, near Wellington Road 22, Centre Wellington Township. A male driving a 2008 Chevrolet was observed travelling well above the posted speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar travelling at 144km/h in an 80 km/h zone.
His driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.
Connor MCTAGGART age 20 of Ariss is charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is to appear in Guelph Court on October 15, 2014 to answer to the charge.
