(SOUTH BRUCE COUNTY, ON) – On September 1st, 2011 at 2:31 pm, the South Bruce OPP received a report of an attempted scam from a resident of Brockton. “Justin†from “Windows Support†called to advise that the computer may be at risk, but he could fix the problem. The call was recognized as a scam and the phone was hung up, with no information being provided to “Justinâ€Â. The South Bruce OPP is sending another reminder about unsolicited phone calls. “If you didn’t initiate the call, how can you be sure the caller is who they say they are?†Scammers are always coming up with new ways to separate you from your hard earned money, don’t let them take yours.
