(CITY OF KINGSTON, ON) – On May 25, 2018, the Frontenac detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a collision on Highway 401 eastbound just east of the Odessa ONroute service stop in the City of Kingston involving a vehicle and a tractor trailer.
As a result of the collision, the male driver of the vehicle Cheng YUAN 33 years of age from Waterloo, Ontario and female passenger Meiyu LI 27 years of age from Burnaby, British Columbia were pronounced deceased at the scene.
The highway was closed for nine hours for the on-going investigation.
