Collision – One Airlifted To London

(TOWNSHIP OF GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) – On Sunday, November 16, 2014 at approximately 9:25 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a driver injured as a result of a motor vehicle collision on Grey Road 16, west of Concession 6. in the Township of Georgian Bluffs.

Investigation revealed the lone driver was operating a 2002 Ford pick-up truck westbound on Grey Road 16. The vehicle entered the south ditch and collided with a tree causing extensive damage to the vehicle.

The 32 year old driver from the Municipality of Meaford was taken to a local hospital and was then air lifted to a hospital in London with life-threatening injuries. He remains in critical condition.

The OPP West Regional Technical Traffic Collision Investigation Unit is assisting with the investigation. Grey Road 16 was closed for approximately 5 hours.
