(GREY COUNTY, ON) – On Saturday, September 26, 2015 at approximately 7:46 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), together with Grey County Emergency Services (EMS) and the West Grey Fire Department, attended the scene of a motor vehicle collision on Hwy. 6 at Grey Rd. 12 in the Municipality of West Grey.
The collision occurred after the driver of a 2015 Volkswagen Jetta who had attempted to overtake two vehicles travelling southbound on Hwy. 6, struck the lead vehicle, a 2001 Honda Odyssey, which had attempted to make a left onto Grey Rd. 12.
Both vehicles were extensively damaged as a result.
The driver of the Volkswagen, age 36, and two male passengers ages 11 and 9, all from the Municipality of West Grey, were not injured.
The driver of the Honda, Brandy WILSON, age 34, of the Township of Southgate, was transported to hospital with minor injuries. She was charged by way of Part III Summons for making a turn not in safety and driving while suspended.
A court date is scheduled for October 26, 2015.
