(Central Huron, ON) On July 13, 2010 at approximately 3:45 pm the driver of a westbound vehicle on Huron Road lost control of his car. The car crossed the centre line and then left the roadway on the south side. The vehicle entered onto private property east of Goderich, struck a pole and then a piece of history. A concrete statue of oxen and a male, located at an orchard, was extensively damaged when it was struck by the car. The vehicle was demolished in the crash and the driver was taken to the Goderich Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
57 year old Harry CHAMBERS of Goderich has been charged with Careless Driving.
