Collision Near Molesworth Closes Jamestown Road – Life Threatening Injuries

(HURON EAST, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are currently on scene of a single motor vehicle collision that has occurred west of Molesworth this morning.

At approximately 7:48 a.m. Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Perth County Paramedic Services and Grey Township Fire Department personnel responded to the collision scene located on Jamestown Road just east of Adams Line.

The preliminary investigation has revealed the driver was travelling eastbound on Jamestown Road when he lost control of his vehicle on the gravel roadway. Upon leaving the roadway his vehicle collided with a large tree and caught on fire.

The lone occupant, a male driver was transported from the scene by land ambulance to a local hospital. His injuries are considered life-threatening.

Members from the West Region OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation (TTCI) Team will be attending the scene to assist with the collision investigation.

Jamestown Road is now closed between Adams Line to the west and Mt. Pleasant Line to the east.
