(TOWN OF MINTO, ON) – On July 22, 2014 at approximately 6:31 p.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a 2 vehicle collision on Highway 9 south of Wellington Road 2, Town of Minto. A 2011 Jeep struck the rear of a stopped 2011 Ford in a construction zone.
Officers spoke with the male driver of the Jeep and determined he had consumed alcohol. A Roadside Screening Device test was done which resulted in a fail. He was transported to a local Operations Centre for testing
The Administrative Drivers’ Licence Suspension (ADLS) program was initiated and his motor vehicle impounded for seven days.
David TEGLER age 66 of Wellington North Township has been charged with Over 80 contrary to the Criminal Code. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on August 8, 2014 to answer to the charge.
