(POWASSAN, ON) – On July 31, 2016, at approximately 2:00 a.m., the Powassan Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), with the assistance of the Powassan Volunteer Fire Department, responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 11, Municipality of Powassan.
The transport was southbound when it entered onto the west side shoulder hitting a concrete barrier. The driver sustained no injuries.
The highway was closed for approximately two hours while the highway was cleaned up and one lane was opened.
The driver, Satvir GREWAL, age 27, of Brampton, Ontario, was charged with Careless Driving contrary to section 130 of the Highway Traffic Act.
