(WEST PARRY SOUND, ON) – The West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), the Anishinabek Police Service (APS), the Carling Fire Department and Parry Sound Emergency Management Services (EMS) attended a single motor vehicle roll over on Saturday November 9, 2013 at approximately 6:14 p.m. There were 5 occupants in the vehicle, one of which was ejected. The driver and 3 other occupants were transported by EMS to the West Parry Sound Health Centre and were later released.
Shannon Lacosse, 18 years of age from Laird Township, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
OPP closed Hwy 69 just north of Woods Road for several hours while the Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI) processed the scene. The investigation is continuing.
