(COLLINGWOOD, ON) – Please be advised that as a result of a suspected chemical spill, the Collingwood OPP Detachment located at 201 Ontario Street in the Town of Collingwood has been temporarily closed.
Residents of Collingwood who need to contact the OPP are asked to please call 911for emergencies or 1-888-310-1122 for non-emergent matters.
All operations normally carried out at the Collingwood location will be transferred to the Town of Blue Mountains OPP office located at 2 Clark Street in the Town of Blue Mountains until further notice.
At present, the Collingwood Fire Department are being assisted by members of the Barrie Fire Service and Emergency Services Hazardous Materials Response Team and members of the OPP Urban Search and Rescue Team (UCRT).
