Collin Dickins – Drunk Driving

(SOUTH HURON, ON) – On December 17, 2011 just before 1:00 a.m. Huron County OPP officers were conducting a Festive R.I.D.E. (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) check on Ausable Line near Crediton. Upon speaking to the male driver the officer detected the odour of an alcoholic beverage.

The driver failed the roadside test and was immediately arrested. He was transported to the Exeter OPP detachment in order to provide two samples of his breath to a qualified Intoxilizer Technician.

The two tests revealed the driver had a blood alcohol level that was above the legal limit of 80 milligrams of alcohol.

As a result of the investigation, Collin DICKINS (20) of Bluewater, ON has been charged with one count of Drive With Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol contrary to section 253(1)(b) Criminal Code of Canada. He will answer to his charge in the Ontario Court of Justice – Exeter on January 26, 2012. His driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days as per statute. LP11354280
