(CENTRE WELLINGTON TOWNHIP, ON) – On November 12, 2014 at approximately 12:55 a.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated the driver of a 1996 Jeep for a Highway Traffic Act infraction on Mill Street in Elora, Centre Wellington Township.
While speaking with the driver, police observed a small quantity of marihuana in the cup holder beside him. The driver was placed under arrest and subsequently a search was conducted. Police located a substantial amount of marihuana as well as hydromorphone medication.
Cole GRAY age 26 of Fergus has been charged with Possession of Marihuana Over 30 Grams and Possession of Hydromorphone contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on December 16, 2014 to answer to the charges.
