(LEEDS, ON.) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police are continuing an investigation into illegal drug possession after a traffic stop.
On the 22 of April 2017 at about 3:45 PM. Members of the Ontario Provincial Police HET (Highway Enforcement Team), in Leeds and the Thousands Township stopped a vehicle on Highway 401 for having improper licence plates and having open liquor. As a result of an investigation, a male and a female were arrested after illegal drugs were located.
26 year old Andrew BROWN, and 24 year old Jessica MOORE both of North Grenville Ont. face charges of Possession of Cocaine. Brown faces further charges in relation to the open liquor, having no insurance and other charges under the Highway Traffic Act.
Both are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, Provincial Division in Brockville on the 9th of June 2017 to answer to their drug charge.
The investigation continues.
