(LUCAN BIDDULPH, ON) – A male driver has been arrested and charged following a traffic stop on Richmond Street, near McGillivray Drive, in the Municipality of Lucan Biddulph.
On July 10, 2014 at approximately 7:40 pm Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint involving a northbound vehicle. Police located the vehicle, conducted a traffic stop, and discovered the driver had been drinking alcohol.
The driver was arrested and transported to the Middlesex County OPP Lucan Detachment for breath testing that revealed he had consumed more than three times the legal limit of alcohol.
Clarence GALLANT, age 37, from the Municipality of Bluewater ON, was charged with driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in blood, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
He was released by way of a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to appear in a London Court on August 12, 2014.
