(SOUTH PORCUPINE) – The South Porcupine Ontario Provincial Police has charged two local men with a number of traffic offences stemming from a traffic complaint received regarding a motorcycle being allegedly driven at a high rate of speed on August 26th, 2013, on Hwy 101, east of Timmins.
An OPP officer had occasion to locate the vehicle that was the subject of the complaint received from a motorist who had observed the vehicle being driven at an unsafe rate of speed.
The vehicle’s driver was stopped and interviewed at the roadside.
Based on the investigative measures undertaken by the OPP officer,
Christopher METSALA, 25, of Timmins, Ontario, has been charged with:
Driving While Under Suspension contrary to the Highway Traffic Act
Use Other Person’s Licence contrary to the Highway Traffic Act
Driving Motor Vehicle – Improper Licence contrary to the Highway Traffic Act
Fail to Surrender Permit contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
The vehicle’s owner, Preston BEAUDOIN, 42, of Timmins, has been charged with
Permit Unlicensed Person to Drive Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway
Traffic Act
The vehicle was towed from the scene.
