Chatsworth Bust – $80,000 In Stolen Property Recovered – Names Released

(CHATSWORTH, ON) – On November 22, 2023, the Grey Bruce Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), West Region Regional Support Team (WRRST) along with General Law Enforcement (GLE) officers attended a property on Highway 6 in the Township of Chatsworth and executed a search warrant.

During the search police seized stolen property such as an Acura TLX, a Can Am 100R side by side, a Can Am Renegade ATV, a Honda ATV, and an ATV trailer. The total value of recovered stolen property is $80,000.

The OPP has charged John McNichol, 47-years-old of Chatsworth Township with the following offences under the Criminal Code:

  • Possession Property Obtained by Crime over $5000 X2
  • Possession Property Obtained by Crime under $5000 X2
  • Alter/Destroy/Remove VIN

The OPP has charged Nathan McNichol, 24-years-old of West Perth with the following offences under the Criminal Code:

  • Possession Property Obtained by Crime over $5000 X2
  • Possession Property Obtained by Crime under $5000 X2
  • Alter/Destroy/Remove VIN

Both accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on December 21, 2023.
