Chatham-Kent Police Daily News Release – 20Nov2017

The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 103 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Two people were arrested.

Man and Woman Charged with Uttering Threats CK17043872

In October 2017, the man was released from custody with conditions. One of his release conditions was to refrain from any communication with a male that is known to him.

On Sunday, November 12, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. the man and the woman both threatened this male as they drove their vehicle up next to him at an intersection in Ridgetown. The incident was then reported to police.

As a result of the investigation, yesterday at approximately 2:00 p.m. the 52-year-old Highgate woman was arrested and charged with uttering threats. And the 58-year-old Highgate man was arrested and charged with uttering threats, failing to comply and driving while under suspension.

The man and woman were transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters and both released with a court date of December 12, 2017.

Break and Enter in Tupperville CK17044920

Sometime on Sunday, November 19, 2017 between 9:15 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. unknown suspect(s) entered a residence on Kent Line. A television and a laptop, valued at $400 were reported stolen.

Break and Enter in Chatham CK17044915

Sometime throughout the night of November 15, 2017 unknown suspect(s) entered an attached garage under construction on Indian Creek Road in Chatham. Tools valued at approximately $400 were reported stolen yesterday when the homeowner noticed them missing.
