Chatham-Kent Daily News Release – Sept 27, 2015

The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 123 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Four people were arrested, two of which were held for a bail hearing.

Outstanding Warrant

On the 26th of September, 2015 the Chatham-Kent Police located a 34year old female Wallaceburg resident whom they had been looking for regarding 3 Breach of Recognizance charges. On the 31st of July, 2015 the accused attended court for a breach of probation charge and was released on a recognizance of bail. Two of her conditions were that she was to sign in at the Wallaceburg police station every Thursday between the hours of 9am and 4pm and to reside at a specific address in Wallaceburg. On the 17th and 24th of September, 2015 the accused fail to sign in. On the 25th of September, 2015 police attended her address only to be notified that the accused has never lived at the fixed address. The accused was arrested and later transported to courts where she was held in custody until a later court date.

Breach of Undertaking

On the 26th of September, 2015 at approximately 5:35pm Chatham-Kent Police attended an address on Fourth St., Chatham to assist EMS with a combative male patient. Upon arrival police located the male sitting on Llewllyn St. in a highly intoxicated state. A CPIC check was conducted and information was received that the male was released on an Officer in Charge Undertaking on the 27th of July, 2015 with one of the conditions being “Not to possess or consume alcohol or other intoxicating substances. The accused, a 60 year old Chatham resident was arrest and held for a bail hearing.

Breach of Recognizance

On the 26th of September, 2015 shortly after 9:00pm a member of the Chatham-Kent Police Service conducted a traffic stop on Kent Bridge Rd. with a three wheeler. The male driver was spoken to and a CPIC check conducted. Information was received that the driver was bound by a Recognizance of Bail to be in his residence between the hours of 9:00pm and 6:00am. The 29 year old Camden Twp. man was arrest for breaching his recognizance and held for a bail hearing.
