Call Leads to Domestic Charges
In early August, 2015, a 23 year woman was charged under several Criminal Code section for a domestic related incident. She was released from custody with several conditions; one being, not to communicate or associate with her boyfriend at the time.
On September 11, 2015, Chatham-Kent Police responded to a domestic dispute on Winter Line Rd, Pain Court, between the same two parties. Both parties were initially detained and transported to Headquarters for further investigation. After interviewing them, both parties were arrested and charged.
The 23 year old Courtright woman was charged with 2 counts of Failing to Comply with Undertaking. She was later released with a future court date.
The 24 year old Pain Court man was charged with being Party to an Offence, and 3 counts of Domestic Assault. He was held in custody, pending bail hearing.
Prescription Fraud
On September 2, 2015, Chatham-Kent Police attended a Pharmacy on St. Clair St, Chatham, in response to a fraud complaint. The suspect is part of a fentanyl patch program at the pharmacy, to hold everybody accountable for their new and used patches. It was learned that the man had altered his most recent patch disposal form.
In the evening of September 11, 2015, the 51 year old Chatham man was located and arrested for Uttering a Forged Document. He was processed and released with a future court date.
Break and Enter Investigation
Early this morning, Chatham-Kent Police responded to a home on King St E, Chatham. The resident was out for the evening, and upon return, realized that somebody had been through the home. Through investigation, it is believed that suspect(s) entered through an unlocked window, and taken various electronics and prescription medications. Investigation is on-going at this time.
