The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 111 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Four People were arrested.
Police Investigate Break and Enter
Sometime between March 26, 2016 at 6:00pm and March 27, 2016 at 10:30am an unknown suspect(s) entered a residential shed at an address on Base Line Road. The suspect caused about $50 damage prying open the door and took an outboard boat engine.

Man Charged with Assault
On March 27, 2016 at approximately 1:45pm the Chatham-Kent Police Service attended an address on Lorne Ave in Chatham for an assault. Police located a male who had suffered a small puncture wound believed to be from a knife. The male was transported to Chatham-Kent Health Alliance and was treated for his injuries. The injuries were not life threatening.
The accused was located and arrested. The 27 year old Chatham man was charged with two counts of Assault with a Weapon, Assault cause bodily harm, and Fail to Comply with Probation. He was later released from custody with a future court date of April 12, 2016.
Man Charged with in Neighbor Dispute
On March 27, 2016 at approximately 9:30pm Police attended a residence on Athlone Rd, in Tilbury in response to a neighbor dispute. Two males residing in the apartment complex were having an argument over a dog. As a result of the dispute a male was arrested taken into police custody. There were no injuries reported during the incident. The accused man was also found to be in possession of a Taser.
The 21 year old Tilbury man was charged with Uttering Threats and Possession of a Prohibited weapon. He was later released from custody with a future court date of April 15, 2016.
Female Charged for Failure to Comply with Conditions
On March 23, 2016 a female appeared before a Justice of the Peace in regards to domestic related offences. At that time she was placed on conditions to not communicate or associate with specific people. On March 27, 2016 police conducted an investigation into a breach of the release conditions.
Shortly before 10:00pm a 22 year old Wallaceburg female was located, arrested and charged with three counts of Breach of Undertaking. She was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Police Investigate Suspicious Fires
On March 27th, 2016 between 9:15pm hrs and 10:30pm the Chatham-Kent Police Service was notified of three structure fires all of which occurred in within a close proximity of each other. All three fires involved an old barn or shed with no one residing on the properties.
On March 27th, 2016 at 9:17pm Police were notified of a structure fire in the area of Grove Mills Line and Bear Creek Road. CK Fire Department was on scene and a steel clad shed was fully engulfed in flames and they were able to put out the fire but only after the structure had been lost. The value of the shed was estimated at $500 and the shed contents to be approximately $250.
On March 27th, 2016 at 10:09pm information was received from the OPP that they were notified of a structure fire in the area of Bent Path Road and Smith Falls Line in their jurisdiction. The location of this fire was in close proximity and was just north east of Grove Mills Line. The fire was similar in nature being an old barn set ablaze.
On March 27th, 2016 at 10:29pm Police were notified of a third structure fire in the area of Cider Mill Line and Brick Road. CK Fire Department responded to an old wooden shed destroyed by a fire. CK Fire was able to extinguish the remaining remnants. The shed was old with no known contents of value. Initial estimates of damage were $200.
There are no known injuries resulted from any of these fires and no other properties were affected.
