(CHATHAM-KENT, ON) On December 17, 2014, just before 11:30 a.m., a Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer stopped an Acura car for a traffic violation at Highway 401 and Furnival Road in Elgin County.
Subsequent OPP traffic investigation revealed that the driver, 48 year old Charles WHEELER, from London, was wanted on an outstanding warrant with another Police agency.
The driver was arrested on the outstanding warrant, and also charged with the following:
Driver Fail To Surrender Licence, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act
Fail To Notify Change Of Address, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act
Driver Fail To Give Identification, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act
Fail To Surrender Permit For Motor Vehicle, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act
Fail To Surrender Insurance Card, under the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act
The driver is scheduled to appear in a London court on January 16, 2015, to answer to the charges.
