Charges Laid in Serious Motor Vehicle Collision

The Chatham-Kent Police Traffic Unit has completed their investigation into a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Winterline Road and Maple Line on October 29, 2013.

A Honda Odyssey minivan with eight occupants was travelling south on Winterline Road when it was struck by a Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck that was westbound on Maple Line.

The collision sent five people from the minivan to hospital including one woman ‎who was ejected. She was airlifted to a hospital in London with life threatening injuries. Her condition has since improved and she is now listed in stable condition. The four other occupants were treated and released.

The driver of the Chevrolet pick-up, Robert Foreman, 31 years, of Lakeshore Road in Comber has been charged with Failing to Yield to Traffic on Through Highway.

The driver of the Honda minivan, Patrick McCann, 43 years, of Janette Avenue in Windsor has been charged with Driving While Under Suspension and Obstructing Police.

The owner of the Honda minivan, a 47-year-old Windsor man has been charged with Permitting an Unlicensed Person to Drive a Motor Vehicle.
