(Bancroft, Ontario) – On Saturday the 18th of October 2014, officers from the Bancroft detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting a R.I.D.E. (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) check on Highway 62 in the Maynooth area. Charges were laid in relation to one of the vehicles checked.
23 year old Brianna MCHALE of the Municipality of Hastings Highlands has been charged with possession of marihuana. She was issued and appearance notice with a court date of November 21st 2014, at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft, Ontario.
25 year old John BELBIN of the Municipality of Highlands East was also charged with having liquor in open container in other than licenced premises, residence or private property.
