On November 14th, 2013 at approximately 2:20pm, Peterborough County OPP were conducting a RIDE Check at the intersection of County Road 9 and County Road 10 in the Village of Mount Pleasant (Township of Cavan Monaghan). Officers observed a vehicle turn down a side road just prior to arriving at the RIDE Check. The vehicle reappeared shortly after and attempted to turn back in the direction from which it had originally came from.
OPP Officers stopped the vehicle a short distance from the scene. A subsequent investigation resulted in the following charges:
Charged is: Maxin Douglas Murphy, age- 48years of Peterborough,Ontario
Sec 53(1) Highway Traffic Act – Drive While Under Suspension”
Sec 7(1)(a) Highway Traffic Act – ” Drive Motor Vehicle – No Currently Validated Permit”
Mr. Murphy is scheduled to appear at Peterborough Provincial Court on January 12th
