(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County detachment has charged a 44-year-old female after police stopped a motor vehicle at an Oakwood Drive, Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Thursday, April 7, 2016, at approximately 6:46 p.m., a concerned citizen contacted police to report a possible impaired driver. Officers patrolling the area located the vehicle which was stopped and investigated.
As a result of investigation, police have charged 44-year-old Jackie CHAMPAGNE, of Norfolk County, Ontario with impaired driving, fail or refuse to provide breath sample and fail to comply with probation order.
She is to appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charges.
“Impaired driving is not only a criminal offence, but an offence that can cause serious injury, death and devastates many lives. The OPP is urging the public to remain vigilant in reporting impaired drivers.
