(Cavan-Monaghan Township, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to investigate two commercial break-ins yesterday.
Between the evening hours of September 9 and the early morning of September 10, 2015 thieves entered two businesses on King Street in Millbrook. Thieves forcibly opened the back door of Sylvia’s Restaurant at 38 King Street East and removed the cash register containing. The cash float of approximately $100 was inside the register.
During the same time frame the front door of Joseph’s Barber Shop located at 42 King Street East was pried open. Thieves rummaged through the business but nothing was taken.
Investigators are actively looking for information that may lead to a suspect or suspect(s) in this case. Police urge the public to call in tips on this case, or others, to the non-emergency line (888) 310-1122 or to crime stoppers.
