(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) – On September 10, 2015, at approximately 7:58 p.m., the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were alerted to a possible impaired driver travelling north bound on Highbury Avenue.
Police located the vehicle, a blue Jeep sport utility vehicle (SUV), and conducted a traffic stop near Ilderton Road. Officers determined that the driver had been drinking alcohol.
The male driver was arrested, and he was transported to a Middlesex County OPP detachment for breath testing.
As a result of the investigation, 22-year-old Mitchell ELDER, from Owen Sound, Ontario, has been charged with driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in blood, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused was released from police custody by way of a Promise to Appear, and is scheduled to answer to the charge in a London court on October 13, 2015.
