(TOWNSHIP OF GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) – On Monday, August 10, 2015 at approximately 1:38 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a vehicle that had struck a hydro pole as well as a parked vehicle on Hwy. 6, Shallow Lake, in the Township of Georgian Bluffs.
A 2005 Ford 150 pick-up truck was being driven northbound on Hwy. 6 also known as Sir John’s Crescent in Shallow Lake when the driver lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle left the roadway and struck a hydro pole and a parked, unattended 2002 Ford COF pick-up truck on the east side of the road. Hydro One attended the scene to repair the damaged pole.
A 20 year old male passenger in the pick-up truck was taken to hospital as a pre-caution for a minor injury. The driver and a second passenger were not injured.
Gloria RITCHIE, age 61, of Southampton, Ontario was issued a Provincial Offence Notice for Careless Driving under the Highway Traffic Act (HTA).
