(TOWN OF NEW TECUMSETH) – At approximately 7:55am, on Tuesday, September 6, 2016, members of the Nottawasga Detachment, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a two vehicle crash on County Road 10 between the 9th and 10th Line of New Tecumseth.
The crash involved a south bound car and a north bound Ambulance with its emergency equipment activated. Investigation reveals the driver of the car, who was the sole occupant, was in the process of passing a school bus when the collision occurred. The school bus was pulling to the right, as required by law.
The ambulance was occupied by two paramedics and a patient who was being transported to a local Hospital. All parties were subsequently taken to hospital for observation and later released.
Investigation continues and charges are pending.
