(FRONTENAC, ON) – On the 4th of March 2015 at approximately 11:15 p.m. Frontenac OPP conducted a RIDE check at the intersection of Perth Road and Rutledge Road in the township of South Frontenac. A lone male driver in an orange Chevrolet small sedan type vehicle approached the RIDE check failed to stop at the check and preceded southbound on Perth Road at a high rate of speed.
Shortly after at the corner of Perth Road and Latimer Road in Inverary, OPP officers located the same orange vehicle that did not stop at the RIDE check to be involved in an accident in which the vehicle hit the traffic light standard.
The male driver was not located at the scene of the accident and a search was conducted of the area. However the male driver was not located.
Frontenac OPP conducted an investigation and as a result, on March 12th 2015 police have charged Calvin TAYLOR 25yrs of South Frontenac Township with:
· Driving while under suspension
· Fail to report accident·
· Disobey officer directing traffic·
· Possession of a schedule II substance
He was issued a Summons to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Kingston, on May 4th, 2015.
