(INGERSOLL, ON.) – On Tuesday September 6, 2016 at approximately 12:20 a.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Oxford Detachment received two separate reports of three suspicious males in the Alder Road area.
The suspects were observed by witnesses in the areas of Alder Road, Hemlock Road, Tamarack Place and Melita Street, attempting to enter parked vehicles. One caller did report observing at least one vehicle being opened and entered.
OPP attended in the area and located the three males. All three were arrested on Laurel Crescent. After further investigation, two of the males, one 19-year-old and one 13-year-old youth were released unconditionally.
Caleb MATHEWSON, 20-years-old of Ingersoll is charged with the following:
Possession of Property Obtained By Crime –Under $5,000
Fail to Comply with Conditions of Undertaking
The male accused was held for a bail hearing.
OPP request that if anyone in the area had their vehicles entered overnight and have not yet reported it to police please report the incident as there was some property seized which has not been claimed yet. Some of the property includes a GPS, a set of keys, and sunglasses. You can report the crime to OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
