(NORWICH TOWNSHIP, ON.) –On Saturday February 6, 2016, the Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a fail to remain collision which had occurred overnight at on Highway 59 near Burgesville, in Norwich Township.
The owners of the Traveller Gas Bar located on Highway 59 near the intersection of Oxford Road 13 were awoken to screeching tires and a loud bang at approximately 9:00 p.m. on Friday, February 5, 2016. The owners observed a small red car fleeing the scene, last seen travelling southbound on Oxford Road 13. The next morning, the owners discovered damage to the exterior wall of the business and contacted OPP.
Investigation at the scene revealed the front lawn had obvious tire tracks leading to the building. Damages are estimated at $2,000.
