(MUNICIPALITY OF MEAFORD, ON) – On May 4, 2016 at approximately 11:39 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a 2002 Saturn VUE vehicle for speeding on Hwy. 26 near Woodford in the Municipality of Meaford.
The female driver failed to provide identification when asked by the officer. Investigation revealed she was a suspended driver.
24-year old Cassandra BROOKFIELD of Omemee, Ontario was charged with failing to give identification, speeding and driving while under suspension contrary to the Highway Traffic Act (HTA).
After further investigation, she and the three vehicle passengers were arrested and turned over to the Owen Sound Police Service in connection to a theft investigation.
