(WELLINGTON NORTH TOWNSHIP, ON) – On March 6, 2015 at approximately 11:54 p.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a R.I.D.E. Program on Main Street North and Sligo Road, Mount Forest.
While speaking with male driver of a 2012 Chevrolet, police observed obvious signs that alcohol was consumed. A Roadside Screening Device test was performed which resulted in a fail. He was arrested and transported to a local OPP Operations Centre for further testing.
The driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and vehicle impounded for seven days as per statute.
Brian MANION age 54 of Wellington North Township has been charged with Over 80 mgs contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on March 20, 2015 to answer to the charge.
