(SOUTH HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are currently investigating a break-in that occurred over the weekend at the South Huron Recreation Centre.
Investigators are seeking tips from the public to help uncover the identities of two individuals that entered into the South Huron Recreation Centre, located on Victoria Street East early Sunday morning. Investigators believe the two suspects entered into the arena through an insecure door around 5:19 a.m. and once inside the arena they made their way to the concession booth. They then forced entry into the locked concession booth and attempted to steal cash from the cash register however they fled the building empty-handed when they tripped a motion sensor alarm.
Police attended the scene a short while later and located fresh bicycle tracks that led away from the northwest side of the arena.
